About Office DevCon
Office DevCon is the largest and most popular annual community-driven conference
in the southern hemisphere. It allows
Microsoft Office developers and power users to come together in
one location to hear expert speakers from around the world present on a wide range of
Microsoft Office-related topics.
Over 2 days, you will hear
in-depth presentations on advanced Office
technologies for Office 2003 and 2007 and 2010 (the next version),
including Word, Access, Excel, SharePoint, PowerPoint, Groove, InfoPath,
OneNote and Outlook.
Due to the upcoming release of Office 2010, the 2009 event has generated an unprecedented level of interest from many local and international speakers and organisations, and promises to surpass last year's event by a big margin.
This year, not only will we have in-depth (Deep dive) lectures from internationally recognised speakers, we'll also have academic lecturers presenting on such diverse topics as human-computer interaction, software patterns, security, data theory, and so on. Feedback from previous years indicated that the sessions could have been deeper, and we listened. At your request, all sessions are deeper and more comprehensive than ever before, the Deep-Dive sessions can now extend to 2 hours in duration, and the range of technical offerings is wider. This year you will have even more opportunity to learn about Office and other IT-related technologies, techniques and topics, and to interact with world-class experts.
How much does it cost?
It is free to attend Office DevCon, but accommodation and transportation costs are up to you.
